For the first time ever, Sonja Rasula is teaching her popular workshop right here in LA! You don’t need to hire a PR person, write press releases or spend a fortune to gain media attention. This must-take class teaches a simple set of rules so that you can confidently gain great PR skills and grow your business. In this intensive workshop you’ll learn how to digest the media to decide which placement is best for you, how to write a pitch, who the exact people are to send your pitches and more!

Find out what works and what doesn’t, and come away prepped to execute your own public relations. Plus, learn how to think outside of the PR box to create multiple opportunities for media exposure for yourself! Get inspired, get confident and get press exposure! Each student will come away with a crafted draft of a pitch and a list of pitch ideas, plus Sonja will provide feedback and guidance.


ABOUT THE WORKSHOP LEADER

Recently named by Los Angeles Magazine one of LA’s Top 10 Most Inspiring Women, Sonja Rasula is a curator of culture and entrepreneurship. Last month she was on the cover of Southwest Airline’s Spirit Magazine, for a feature on the new American DreamA community leader and entrepreneur, Sonja is passionate about helping empower independent business owners and activating community. She truly believes in “quality over quantity” and the power of creativity. Sonja is best known for Unique LA, the world’s largest made-in-America shopping event that she started in 2008. Last year she started CAMP, a business conference for creatives who hate business conferences – and yes, it takes place at a summer camp. After witnessing the amazing success and positive results of CAMP, Sonja decided to create a permanent place for entrepreneurs and creative thinkers… And so The Unique Space was born in LA, an 18,000 sq ft hybrid that includes co-working, private offices and special events.

Sonja’s diverse media background before starting Unique LA/CAMP/The Unique Space includes being a online content specialist (AT&T, Reebok, HGTV, Harlequin), being featured on television (ABC, CBS, HGTV, Food Network, MuchMusic), and being a writer and editor for a variety of print publications including Azure, Style Ideas, Canadian Living and The Toronto Star. She is an active workshop leader and speaker for a variety of organizations and schools including the Disney Imagineers group, Nearly Impossible Conference, TED-X, GOOD and Scripps College.  As a consultant she works with both big brands and small businesses on creative direction and design, branding, marketing and new media projects. Sonja also sits on the Board of 826LA.
