WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION 

Come learn how to make "signatures" and basic binding techniques to make your very own journals, photo albums and whatever a collection of pages inspires you to do.  
• How to make a book
• Understand what a signature is
• Step outside the box and rethink "book"
• Confidence to construct their own books
• Inspiration to push the limits of your personal creativity

Workshop includes supplies.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP LEADER

Crafter by nature. Product developer by design. Artist by influences.

LaQuesha Wiley has a variety of crafty talents and creative backgrounds. She is a graduate of the Columbus College of Art and Design where she majored in Industrial Design. While in college she also studied graphic design, glass kiln casting in addition to paper and book making practices. She is a transplant to Los Angeles, CA from Columbus, OH.  As an Artisan at a book bindery nearly two years, she made high-end archival photo albums, presentation boxes and folios for the wedding industry. 

LaQuesha is also a volunteer and supporter for the Academy of Handmade. She is an on-going Instructor/Volunteer with the Downtown Womens Center for their SET TO CREATE program.  Where there is art, design and crafts, LaQuesha will likely be involved. She is all about community and supporting local creatives to make this world a better place.
