Getting ready to approach the media but nervous about what to say? Worried if your pitch is right for the publications you're approaching? This intimate workshop will help you refine your PR pitch and tailor your words. It will go beyond the basics of understanding DIY PR and will get you writing your pitches with confidence and creative angles.
Please come with some ideas about the media you would like to approach and a specific topic you are planning to pitch... don't worry, we will work on the rest! Most of us are working on our businesses in isolation, so having a place to share and explore ideas with a group is vital. After the class you will have creative ideas for approaching the media, clearly defined target publications and and the best angles for the right media.
All participants will receive a pitch worksheet, DIY PR Fieldguide and Amy Flurry's Pitch Wheel (a $30 value). This kit, along with the pitches developed in the class, will provide you with a great foundation for approaching the media.
The first five sign-ups will also receive Amy Flurry's Recipe for Press. A $25 value.
